Much loved husband of 65 years to Colleen. A generous friend, mentor and tutor, Russ will be sadly missed. I have very fond memories of Russell from when we worked together in the Railways Communications section, and also the few times we met socially over the years. I was much saddened to hear of his passing.

Colleen, Many happy memories of Russell flooded back - on the train home from Wellington, discussing
fixing both the Government and Rails problems. And also organising many happy family hunting trips
into the forest at the back of Homeburn Station.
