Oliver James Hodgkinson (Olly)

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 14th May 2026, at Wairau Hospital. Aged 89 years.

Dearly loved husband of the late Pam. Much loved Dad and father-in-law of Rosemary and Dave,

Nevil and Barbara, Darrel and Jo, Leanne and Paul, and Rebecca. Stepfather of Mike and Anne, and Tracy.

A loved Grandad to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren,

and a special Uncle and loved member of his extended whanau.

A special thanks to all the Staff of Wairau Hospital for their support and care of Olly and his family.

A celebration of Olly's life will be held on Tuesday 19th May 2026 at 1pm, Fairhall Cemetery

where he will be laid to rest with Pam.

My fondest memories are on the farm in Murchison. Milking cows, feeding piglets while being terrified of the sows, learning where the family roast came from or feeding offal to eels in the creek.

Adventures that last a lifetime and feed the soul. Sending love and best wishes to my cousins at this time

of loss for you all but a blessing now too that Uncle Olly and Pam can be reunited

in eternity where they are both at peace xxx
