Kathy, Michael will be deeply missed by so many. I’ll always remember the countless hours he gave serving at Superkids — especially with the go-karts and all the behind-the-scenes work. He was truly a man of God and such a generous, giving soul. Sending lots of love and prayers to you and your family.

Guan and I, together with our children Angela and Nathan, were deeply saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. Yet we take comfort in the Christian assurance that he is now in the presence of his Heavenly Father and of the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he loved and served faithfully throughout his life.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and the family at this time. We send you our love.
Mike was a true man of God. During my time as pastor at Picton Baptist Church, it was a great encouragement to Guan and me when Mike and Kathy chose to join the church – a decision I knew was not easy, but one that felt like a homecoming, given his family’s earlier ties there. Mike’s love for God was evident in his worship, his prayer life, and his deep commitment to studying Scripture. We spent many hours discussing the Bible and theology, especially his favourite topic: heaven and the life to come.
Mike and Kathy were wonderfully supportive of our family during those years. I was grateful to serve alongside Mike on the Elders Board and to share fellowship in the home group that sometimes met in their home.
Mike, I will miss you dearly. Though our parting is painful, it is only temporary. One day, all God’s children will be reunited in His presence. Your reflections on heaven have now given way to reality — you are with your Saviour and Lord.
Rest in peace and rise in glory.
With love to Kathy, Nick, and Monique,
Deo, Guan, Angela, and Nathan
