I just want to acknowledge my personal thanks for the many years I have known Lesley Sheed. She was a truly faithful woman of prayer. I was working as a Missionary in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea for 29 years. Lesley was a part of a faithful group of Christians from different denominations who gathered together to pray for me and the work of Salem Training School in Goroka in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Amongst this group were some who were there in the 80’s and 90’s. Lesley was one of them. Her deceased sister Audrey also had prayed regularly for the mission.
I believe many prayers have been answered by the Christians in this faithful prayer group.
I will really miss seeing Lesley. She will be sadly missed.
Her faithfulness in praying will not be forgotten.

Aunty Lesley you will be missed by so many. Going back home to NZ will not feel the same without your smiling face greeting us at the door. Thank you for all your walks, adventures on the horses, laughs, piano lessons and mending our clothes. I always admired your drive & determination to get out there & do whether it was to walk up the hill or bike to the markets. You also had the most beautiful garden. Fly high Auntie Lesley You are home with God xx

I can picture the sisters gathered around the piano in heaven waiting for their turn to play an endless tune.
I once spent an afternoon with Leslie down the Marlborough sounds and have never forgotten it.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Ms Sheed. I learnt piano from her from 1986-1992 and had kept in touch when I could as an adult, the last time just a few years ago. A person with a real spirit and understanding of people.
I’m really sorry for your loss.
