John and I are heartbroken to hear of Jean’s passing, she was my oldest friend way back to infant
school and we stayed friends ever since despite the distance.
Our love goes to Graham, Sid, Monique, Nick, Rose and her grandchildren,
Jean was a wonderful person and will never be forgotten.
The words of this poem are so poignant :
“Of all the special gifts in life however great or small,
To have you as my friend was the greatest gift of all.
May the winds of love blow softly and whisper in your ear “I love and miss you friend and wish that you were here”.
Deep in our hearts, your life is kept to love and cherish not forget. .
No more tomorrows we can share but yesterday’s are always there.
A silent thought, a secret tear keeps your memory ever near,
In my heart forever”
Sleep tight my dear friend x

To Graham and extended family
We are so sorry to read of Jean's passing, our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
Many decades have passed since we first met you at our place of work in the 1970's.
We were so happy to help your family as you moved to Blenheim to begin a new life a long way from your homeland.
We have very fond memories of Jean, may she rest in peace.
Kind regards
Russell and Lynne WATES

I am deeply saddened to learn of Jean's passing.
She was such a warm, friendly and supportive person to me as I grew up as a close friend to Rose.
Her smile and chuckles reflected her personality; sunshine.
She was immensely proud of her kids and family meant everything to her.
I have fond memories of her being there in our formative years, spending time together in the UK, and in the years since, whenever I was lucky enough to see her, she would always make time for a chat and catch up.
She had a way of making everyone feel special (and I am sure she found my jokes extra funny or at least she did a good job of humouring me). I feel privileged to have known her and the world has lost a true gem.
To Rose, Sid, Graeme and Jean's wider family, my family and I send you all the strength and love to get through the coming days, weeks and months ahead. She will be missed, but that's because she loved you so much and what a blessing that is and will be always, even after she is gone.
Love to you all xxx

I have known Jean since we were teens, she was best friend of my dear friend Irene.
What a lovely, pure person. She was loyal and sweet and kind.
Once she fell in love with our dear friend Ely (Graham) she overcame many obstacles to be with him 😉.
We were honoured to be at their wedding, what a lovely day.
I haven’t seen her since they left for a new life in New Zealand but had kept in touch through the years.
She was such a lovely person.
Farewell dear Jean. 😘🥰
