From -  Wendy Talbot
Dearly loved sister of Ian and the late Dale. Loved and respected aunty of Wendy and Carolyn.
Rest in peace my talented and accomplished accompanist in my many musical events over the years.
Will never be forgotten.

From -  Stephen Gallagher
Mrs Elliot, as I knew her, was my High School music teacher. Her love for music was immense
and her belief in her students was unwavering. A great teacher is someone who can ignite
a spark in their students, sets them ablaze with enthusiasm for whatever it is they are studying.
If you are lucky enough to have had someone open a door to music and make it a deeply important
part of your life, someone who helped make music your country and your future, who made you
want to learn as much as you could out of sheer excitement for music, then you can
understand the impact Mrs Elliot had on me and many others.
To paraphrase Robert Schumann “To send light into the darkness of people’s hearts – such is the duty of the artist.”
To that I would add, “…and the teacher.” Arohanui to all of Gwenette's whanau and friends X

Dear Elliott family- I am so sorry to learn your Mum has passed away… I have so many memories of
my childhood with your family and even more at the piano for my lessons over the years with Gwenette.
I’m reminded of her efforts across my piano keys so often over the years.
Sending you all love and thoughts during this very sad time.
With kindest regards
Susan Allen and Erica Tenquist
