My sincere condolences to John and family on the loss of this beautiful soul. When I was a kid,
Chris was one of my favourite teachers at Mataura Primary School and inspired me to become a
primary teacher too (before she left to have Damian, yes it was that many moons ago!).
It was an absolute thrill to then, as a young teacher, find myself working alongside her at West Gore School.
Chris was always fair, kind and caring, and genuinely had the interests of the children at the heart of her teaching.
She was a wonderful colleague and I will always hold fond memories of her,
and I’m sure any who knew her will feel the same.
Aroha nui, Jenny Turnbull, Gore
