A man of principal, faith, compassion, boating, bullocks, love of people and history, author and historian.... a stalwart of all things Marlborough...a very busy mind quietened. My forever friend, you will be very missed by so many.

Condolences to Win and all of Barry’s Whanau.

I was saddened not to be able to attend the service but have since watched it on line and have

felt the love and respect that was so deservedly bestowed on him by so many.

A lovely meaningful service led by Coralie.

As mentioned in the service he and my late husband Tim first met at Young farmers,

were in Junats together and played in the Methodist mission band together.

Meeting him was always a delight with just so many memories to recount and

discussions to be had on the politics of our nation.

I personally will always be grateful for the slide presentation and talk he put together

for the winding up function of the Marlborough Colleges Old Girls' Assn.

Your life has been well lived Barry. Rest now in peace

Thanks for being a great friend to me Barry. I am missing our regular chats.

I am grateful to have known you.

Rest easy my friend.

Barry was so knowledgeable on the topics that he was passionate about- farming,

the history of Marlborough, politics and his beloved bullocks.
He would always give a friendly wave out of his ute or a natter if we met in town.
RIP
