On March 11, 2025, Ali passed away peacefully at Ashwood Home, with family by his side.
Devoted husband and best friend to Louise. Ali was the treasured father and father-in law to Stuart and Donna, Rachel and Bryn, and Sarah and James.
Cherished brother of Margaret and Ailsa, and adored by his grandchildren, Teresa, Alexandra, Ben, Murdoch, Angus, Huw, Ned, Elliot, Adam and Charlie.
Loved Uncle Ali of the Boese, Aitken and Macdonald families.
A heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Ashwood Hospital and to Dr. Ian Henderson.
A proud and respected member of the Marlborough community, Ali’s passion and work ethic was hugely admired. His generosity and warmth touched everyone he met. A man of faith,
Ali now rests peacefully in God’s loving arms.
